Thanks for hanging in with us during this road construction. Please note that the only way to get into the Sacred Heart Church/School parking lot is through 16th Street! 

Currently, the City of West Des Moines has:

1. closed all entrances off of Grand Avenue.  They will remain so while they work on the utilities and sidewalks.
2. kept the exit onto Grand Avenue open, but NO left turns.
3. closed the south entrance to the north parking lot.
4. a detour on Grand advising driver's to use 14th St to Mountain Ave to gain entry into the church (and clinic).

- You cannot enter the School/parish directly off of Grand.
- The exit onto Grand is clearly marked 'DO NOT ENTER.' Do not use the Grand exit as an entrance.
- During school drop off and pick up.  Parents can only enter off of 16th Street and exit onto Grand. (This is the normal procedure, but all other traffic options are literally blocked.)
- During low traffic times the 16th Street access can be used as an entrance and exit.

The only way to get into Sacred Heart School/Parish is on 16th Street.
