Women's Guild Serves at Mary's Helping Hands
On Friday, June 5, members of the Sacred Heart Women's Guild sp
ent the morning volunteering at Mary's Helping Hands. The group sorted donations and prepared summer clothing for distribution to individuals and families in need throughout our community.Thank you to all of the Women's Guild members who generously shared their time and talents in service to others!

The Women’s Guild Mission StatementThe Sacred Heart Women’s Guild is devoted to works of mercy found in the teachings of Jesus, providing service that extends God’s compassion to those in need in our community, and fostering friendship and connection to the women of the parish.Please Join Us!We invite you to join the Women's Guild! As a member you can participate in any or all of our activities. You are always welcome to attend monthly member meetings that include a spiritual reflection plus they might include a service project, or a collection of needed items for those in need, or a speaker or a fun night of fellowship. You can participate in our Guild activities as much as your schedule allows. Please consider joining a project committee, bring ideas for new projects or speakers, and you can join the executive board that meets monthly.If you are unable to participate at our meetings and activities at this time, you are welcome to become a "Supporting Member" and make a general donation for the Guild to use as needed throughout the year for our many service projects. Women's Guild Updates
Calling All Bakers at Sacred Heart! The Women's Guild Annual Bake Sale is December 5th and 6th after ALL Masses. We need EVERYONE'S help in preparing baked goods for the sale such as cookies, bars, candies, pies, breads, jams, salsa & any holiday treats for the Bake Sale. This is the Guild's biggest fundraiser that benefits the grants we give out every Spring. Please drop off all donations by noon on December 5th. Learn more about the Bake Sale!
Night of Service: November 23rd - Women's Guild members....we need lots of help for our annual Night of Service on Monday, November 23rd at 6:30 pm. We will be doing many service projects for our Parish & our Community including preparing items for the Bake Sale & Giving Tree, making meal kits for St. Mark's Fridge, making tie blankets, writing Christmas cards & many more projects. Please plan to attend this event. Everyone is welcome to join us, even if you are not a member. Come join us for a great night of Food~Fun~Fellowship.

Join the Women's Guild!
All women of Sacred Heart are welcome to join the Sacred Heart Women's Guild! Membership forms can be printed from the Women's Guild webpage. The $20 fee can be made with cash, check or Venmo. Supporting donations to support our projects are welcome. Payment details are at the bottom of the membership form.
Please know that meeting attendance is not required but encouraged. You are welcome to be as involved as your schedule allows. We use the membership fee and donations to serve those in need in the parish and in the community.
Please drop off your membership form and fee/donation to the church office (Women's Guild mailbox) or mail it to the church. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our Guild President, Laurie Ready at [email protected].

Help Donate Food to St. Mark's Fridge
Did you know the Sacred Heart Women's Guild has a group of women who help prepare & provide meals to the St. Mark's Neighborhood Fridge on a monthly basis? Contact Rachel Ong for more details or if you would like to help. Also, if you are hosting a graduation party or have leftover food from any event, please keep the St. Mark's Neighborhood Fridge in mind. All your leftovers can be brought directly to the Neighborhood Fridge at 1105 Grand Avenue or feel free to call or text 515-635-4962 and someone will pick up the food items and deliver them to the Fridge. They can even repackage any food items brought to the Fridge. If you would like to learn more about this food pantry serving the West Des Moines community, please contact Darryl at the St. Mark's Neighborhood Fridge. -

The Women's Guild accepts cash, checks, or venmo for the membership fee and donations. Please note:- Make checks payable to the Sacred Heart Women's Guild.
- Venmo: In the payment for section, please note that your payment is for the Women's Guild. In addition, please be specific by adding details like 'membership fee' or 'donation' and include what the payment is for.
- Cash, checks and forms can be dropped off at the Parish Office to the Women's Guild mailbox or at the next monthly meeting
